I did Invisalign here. That experience, it was a great experience. From when I previously went to the dentist, and they told me that they wasn’t gonna be able to do braces, but when I came here I was offered Invisalign, and for about 12 months. And I really liked the service because they actually worked with me until I was satisfied with my smile.
The process, when you come in, I came in for my cleaning and then they asked me was I interested in Invisalign. So, I was. So, they screened me for my teeth. So, once they did that, they sent them off. And it was about two to four weeks, I would say, that the prints came back with my Invisalign. I think I had to wear them for about 22 weeks starting off.
But after the 22 weeks, my bite wasn’t closed because I had a crossbite. So, in order for me to get my crossbite closed, I had to wear them for an additional 17 weeks. So, that took about another two to four weeks for those to come back in. So, after those 17 weeks, I was satisfied with my smile and my crossbite. So, then I went into my refinement trays, and that only took about two weeks for me to get my refinement trays. So, now I don’t wear Invisalign during the day. I just wear my refinement trays at night.

I keep coming back because the staff is very friendly, they’re patient and I actually love my dentist hygienist. I like that she is personable. She’s very professional. We have casual conversations. More like a friend, yes. Like we’ve been knowing each other for years.
Working with the staff, they are very friendly. They explain everything to you when you have questions. They actually text you, leave you voicemails when it comes to updating you about your appointments. They answer all of your questions, any questions that you have, even the dentist does as well. He comes in. He answer all your questions. If the dentist hygienist can’t answer your questions, they will definitely get the dentist in to answer them.
I will definitely recommend them. I will tell them to go see Stephanie, the dental hygienist, because that is my fave. And also, I would tell them to go see Ashley as well. That’s another one of my faves. So I would just basically tell them that they have positive energy. When they come in, just relax, just have casual conversations and just be yourself.

I’ve had two root canals, as I recall since I’ve been coming here, possibly three. I’ve had several crowns redone and new ones. I’ve had a lot of radiation due to cancer. And some of the dental issues, as they know, Dr. Whitlock knows as well as I do, that is from a previous dentist that I went to he wasn’t the best dentist in the world, I don’t think. Maybe he was when he was younger. I think he’s one of these dentists and as well as doctors that practice too long. And I came to him and started going to him in his latter year, shall we say? I should have stopped seeing him, and I didn’t, but then I did. After he retired, obviously I had to have a new dentist. So, I found Dr. Whitlock, and he’s done a lot of the corrections that needed to be made in my mouth, shall we say?
And, you know, so I have had major issues, major dental work done. After I’d seen that other dentist, and I had… you know, my bite wasn’t right, teeth didn’t marry up like they should, due to some of the crown work that he did on me. I felt like toward the ends of seeing him, he was trying to buy a new boat or something before he retired on my coming to see him, because a lot of my teeth just weren’t right. The way they felt. The way they met when I chew and eat food, you know? Working with Dr. Whitlock, we slowly but surely, he slowly but surely, did the repair work that needed to be repaired, and got my bite right, and had a couple of crowns break that the previous dentist had put in.
And I got those redone because I had to have a new crown. I did some, maybe I’d say teeth, but I meant the crowns broke. So anyway, we got that all fixed up, he did. And as far as me, I didn’t have any pain or anything. But sometimes I did have some pain as far as the work that had been done, but other than that, not any real issue. I knew exactly what was going on, and I hated to have the work done because it seemed like I was living in the dentist’s office for a while there. But it was necessary, and I didn’t mind, as long as he was taking care of it and he did. And I was very pleased with the outcome. So, he’s my dentist for the rest of my life.

I like Dr. Whitlock and his whole staff. His whole staff that’s here is just outwardly friendly and very nice. They treat you decent. They’re nice, too, you know, and they’re just great people to be around. Especially when you’re coming to the dentist office. Most people don’t like to come to the dentist office. It’s never bothered me to come to the dentist office. But I like this dentist office a whole lot more than just about any of the rest I’ve gone to.
They take their time with you and they’re extremely gentle it seems like. They’re not rough. Oh, I’ve had a lot. Almost everybody in this office that does dental work itself on a patient, I think they’re all great people and I think they all do great work. I’m not uncomfortable with any of them, and I like the work they do.

I saw his ad on the billboard and from that point on, because I was trying to get Invisalign because I was done with my dentist anyway, I said, you know, forget them. One morning I saw it and I never saw it again and eventually; it came back up on the billboard. I slammed on brakes. I said, that’s him. I took a picture, made sure I wrote it down so I could have it. So, then I called and made my appointment, and I told him that, hey, I need Invisalign, you know, my teeth are, you know, blah, blah, blah.
So, he came and took a look at it and things of that nature and, you know, I got my Invisalign. So, I started my Invisalign journey. I’m happy with my results. I still have, like, the little refinement traits that I have to get, you know, obviously for just like little touch-up things and that nature. But other than that, perfect.
I mean, the whole experience was fine. I mean, he even looks at them, make sure, you know, you like this, this, this or, hey, I don’t like this here, you know, we need to da da da. So, he’s making sure for you that you even like, you know, he’s like in your head. Like, I don’t know. He’s there.
What do I like about coming to the dentist here is Dr Mark. I’ve been to other dentists throughout Tennessee and Georgia. And he is by far the top 10, 1000%. I mean, honestly, I mean, he really is. I went to another dentist or whatever, like I said before, and he is fun. He’s awesome. I mean, I can go on and on. Like, this is he’s just, he’s a vibe. He’s a positive experience. I mean, honestly.

He actually cares about his patients, honestly. Like he, I mean, you go sit in somebody else’s chair, they barely really come and see you, interact with you. They have their hygienist, you know, do whatever they need to do with you, whatever. They come in for about a couple of seconds, hey, how you doing? It’s nothing really personable there, but it’s sort of, Dr Mark when he comes, you know, it’s, hey, how you doing? He really cares and really is checking in on you and making sure, you know, like you like your teeth or, you know, the things, you know, making sure you’re comfortable.
Staff is fantastic. Each of the staff members, they’re friendly. They greet you. They, you know, they pretty much, you know, match his energy in a way. So, they’re pretty much chill. They’re cool. They, you know, make sure you’re okay. Do you need anything else extra? Let us know if you need anything. Let us know if you’re comfortable. One of my parents, they needed a root canal done here really recently. They were in a lot of pain.
I said, okay, we’ll leave your dentist. I said you need to go make an appointment with Dr Mark. Call them now. They’re open Monday through Thursday. I said, “Call them and get in there and get it fixed and he’ll take care of you.” My grandfather loves them. I mean, he said, “Oh yeah.” He said, “Dr Mark, he’s cool.” I said, “Yeah, I know. That’s why I recommended you to him.”

I am blessed and I have not had any major dental work. I have had Invisalign done here. I went to several other dentists and orthodontists who told me that in order to straighten my front teeth, they would have to actually surgically break the plate and then create the space, let it heal, and then do metal braces. And as an adult, I’m not gonna do all that. And Dr. Whitlock was the only one who said there was a way to do it without the surgical part of it. And it took a little while to convince me, I was definitely a doubter, but had great results. So, super pleased.
I love coming here because the staff is friendly and they answer all of my questions. They’re very personable. They’re good at their jobs. You know, leave feeling that my teeth are clean and polished, and if I have any questions, they answer them all thoroughly.
They are very focused on patient care, and that includes everything from letting you choose music in your room, what kind you want. Or they’ve got TV shows usually with silly animals that are kind of humorous while you’re sitting in the dental chair and can’t respond. I also think the staff does a really nice job of talking you through whatever procedure is going on. And it’s way better than, I don’t know. There’s other places I’ve been where they ask you a thousand questions, but their hands are in your mouth and you can’t really respond.

Most people don’t love coming to the dentist. However, Dr. Whitlock has an incredible bedside manner. He’s very conversational, puts patients at ease. The staff is friendly, fun, they’re easy to schedule with, get in and out of and timely. often, you know, going to any medical provider, you sit in the waiting room. And Arlington Dental really focuses on being on time and getting you in and out.
If I had somebody call and ask what dentist should I go to in town, I would not hesitate to recommend Arlington Dental, and specifically Dr. Whitlock. Again, he’s great with patients, amazing bedside manner, humorous, makes you laugh, but also will spend the time with you. I think a lot of time, medical providers are in a hurry to get on to the next patient, and specifically in the dental office, they’re quick to come in, take a peak and head on out. And I feel like here, you can get the time that you need with the doctor to feel comfortable with the treatment that you need.

My wife wrote a review, but Arlington Dental was so good that I had to write one too! I’m a singer, which makes my teeth/mouth a major part of what I do to put food on the table. The dentist listened to what I had to say about needing serious care taken (as to not change the tone of my voice), and after speaking with him I can honestly say that I am THOROUGHLY impressed and quite sure that I’m in good hands. I’ve had negative experiences other places, so my wife and I are very happy to give our business to Arlington Dental. Don’t even waste your time looking elsewhere. I have had quite a bit of dental work done in my life. Honestly, this is one of the most professional and friendly offices I have ever visited. Dr Whitlock solved an issue I had for years during a quick visit once before. Today’s visit was once again outstanding. No pressure to have work done that isn’t needed either.
